The beginnings

Japan has always captivated me.

A fascination that never waned, eventually becoming a clear path.

In 2024, I experienced Japan for the first time.

In Kyoto, I took part in a tea ceremony.

A simple yet profoundly impactful moment.

That's where I tasted real matcha.

For the first time, I understood.

The taste, the texture, the balance — everything was different.

Back in Europe, I tried to recapture that experience.

Without success.

The matcha available was often bitter, inconsistent, far from what I had discovered.

It was then that a simple idea was born:

If I can't find this matcha in Europe,
I will go and get it myself.

Go to the source

I decided to go to Japan, learn the language, and understand the product at its source.

In 2026, I will move to Kyoto.

I travel across Japan, searching for producers.

Not just to buy.

But to understand, meet, and select with exacting standards.

It was in Yame that I discovered Oishi Tea Factory.

A house renowned for the quality of its teas.

A human connection above all else.

An obvious choice.

Selection

Every product offered is selected directly from Japan.

I don't work with catalogs.

I taste, I compare, I select.

Few references.

But only those that meet a high level of expectation.

A ceremonial matcha.

A hojicha.

Simple products, but expertly crafted.
